Now here are two shows that are truly reality television. Interviews with people who tell their story of surviving near death experiences with some re-enactments. Fascinating stuff - I'm hooked. On Bravo, Biography and other channels like that. Highly recommended programs for Tivo.

Last nights episode of "I Survived" was riveting. It was about three people who briefly died (a woman who had a post-childbirth aneurysm, a woman who suffered a car crash, and a man who was stabbed by his scizophrenic brother) but were resuscitated in the ER after being in a flatlined state for a rather lenghly period of time. They each described in detail their experience of almost leaving this earth. All three experienced different revelations, but the common thread was they all felt an amazing sense of peace and love - and of course the obligitory light and such. The car crash victim went into a coma for a few weeks and experienced an out of body state where she could see her family watching her. Upon awaking, to her family's amazement, she described some amazing details of things that they did in the waiting room and such. The stabbing victim man was actually really angry and depressed to be pulled out of his state of bliss and back into his mangled and painful body. Wild stuff.
