Diamondbacks win 9-2!!! Vargas in "Da Man!" The guy has been amazing. In the past week he has a win against the Braves and the Cardinals, both on the road.

San Diego lost, Diamondbacks are 3 out.

I'm sorry but I can't get excited that they are 3 out until they get to a 500 record. Besides they have been 3 or 2 out befor and have promptly lost 5 of 6.

Sorry, but it is hard to get excited about this division. We can't even put together a winning streak in the last 12 weeks - only losing streaks. 8 games under .500 and only 3 games out - WOW, that is pathetic.

I wanna believe, but its still difficult. If they put together a winning streak and get to within 1 - 2 games (sounds like a lot for this team) then I'll begin to believe again.

Even if they can just grind through the rest of August around .500 ball they should be able to make up ground in September. They have a cake schedule the whole month (for any normal team). It should be a close race... RIGHT?!?! First they have to convince themselves they're playing for something meaningful, before the fans can believe it.
