I waited all day, and it was not mentioned

At least I didn't see it.

After all was said and done

Ali Highsmith's tackle on special teams was the hit of the game.

That was ridiculous.

I mentioned it. I said that he laid wood. It wasn't in his own thread though.

A thread worthy collision, I must say. :D

Edit: I should read more carefully.

True enough. If we had 9 other players that can tackle like Highsmith and Rackers, we'd have a good coverage special teams unit.

Abomb, Donald and I were joking signing a new kicker and keeping Rackers on the special teams unit as a tackler.

We sit 15 rows up from the field... when he made that tackle, the person sitting next to me was sitting down (not watching the game) talking to someone, stoped talking and said to me 'what was that?'... that's a sign of a huge hit.

Have to give props to Rackers on the kickoff following the Cardinals first touchdown of the day! If Rackers doesn't make the tackle, taking out the blocker and the return man, Buffalo would have taken that return all the way for a touchdown!!

I am not forgiving Rackers for his chokes on critical kicks... but next time he misses one I will give him a little slack. He saved the team's ass on that tackle because if the Bills quickly score seven to even the score, it's easily a different game yesterday.

Good point cardlogic Rackers is one of the most physical kickers in the game. I watched him in college and he was always making tackles. As for his field goals here lately it just seems he struggles and he makes me nervous. In my opinion when we cut Scott Player Rackers has not been the same. Scott Player was a great holder and those two had a lot of chemistry maybe its the holder not holding the ball right for him or something.

Neil Rackers is having a pretty good year...

He's hit a few what I call "momentum" kicks that have kept things going for us, where a "miss" would've shifted things their way. ..And when you listen to Whiz' talk about him he always mentions his other contributions (ie; pooch-kicks, on-side kicks, even tackles)! I know we're nervous when he lines up to kick but so far so good and I NEVER think of ANY kick in the NFL as a gimme'. I've seen too many blocked, or hit the post (THUNK!), or just flat out miss it. Again, so far, so GOOD!!! Hey, that's FUNNY!! I crack myself up! :D

What about the MNF Bears game? We had player then too. What about the Chiefs game that year, guess who was holding? Yup, Player. I know there was at least 1 other game that year as well, I want to say vs. the Skins but I don't think thats correct.

The point is that Rackers has been choking for the last 3 years now. It was the same thing in Cincy, thats why he was run out. He had 1 year where he basically had nothing to lose and that year he kicked with no fear and was amazing. The rest of his career he has been a Choker! He's like the Derek Anderson of kicking.
