I wish we would draft a QB in the first round

only because I have this huge amount of faith in Moore and Arians that they know what a possible franchise QB looks like and if they do draft one early, this moron here is going to believe they found one in all the muck of what seems a very weak QB class. I AM NOT SAYING I WANT US TO DRAFT ONE REGARDLESS, I'm saying that if we do it is because our staff found one and I would believe them. I wish they see what others have trouble finding right now. And you do not win on opinion during the draft (could care less if others say it was a reach when it happens if you find your guy for the future), you win on your staff being right and a franchise QB is a franchise QB and valuable when you are able to get one. :)

If they take Geno I'll be excited but if they go O-line I'll be excited as well.

Any other pick and I'll be Floyd/Williams dumbfounded and a little pissed.

If they get a shot at Geno or even god forbid draft Barkley, I'm going to blindly accept that they do believe the guy is a franchise QB because I trust their knowledge on the position. Guess I'm waiting on the draft to see their opinion revealed and a first round selection would mean to me they found one.

Why do you think the Cardinals brought in Drew Stanton? It's obvious Arians and Moore want to develop him. Right now it's his job to lose at starting qb. He will be our starting qb for week 1.

Because Kolb cannot stay healthy (and is history) and Skelton and Lindley suck, so along with Hoyer you have to fill out the depth chart. Stanton may start or we just might draft a QB if they feel they found one and they will throw him into the fire the first year.

I also would prefer OL or QB, but I wouldn't be mad at them for taking defense if the right guy is available. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with the QB position. If they take one early than they must have seen something to warrant it and if they don't than they didn't see enough to warrant the pick. And this is coming from someone who truly believes that Geno is going to be a good QB in the NFL.

I wonder if the willingness to bring back Kolb, with Hoyer and Stanton still in the mix, and still having Skeleton and Lindley on the roster is an indication that we aren't drafting a QB this year. Kolb comes back, or you sign another vet, you let Skeleton and Lindley go, he doesn’t come back, you go into camp w/ them and Hoyer and Stanton. Maybe the new regime is really down on this years QB class, like many are, and they see this years draft as a better opportunity to address other areas

I certainly think we could end up drafting a QB with our first pick. Especially if the two best are already gone when we draft. If we are going to gamble then I had rather gamble on a QB. It all comes down to what our leaders think of the QBs available to us. The QB is still our greatest need both today and in the future. Kolb cannot now even be a backup which every team also needs. I hope this is the last time I have to write the word KOLB.

Thats BUNK. Stanton signed a back up level deal. They like him and promised him a chance to compete. Nothing more or less.

Is Geno as good as all the hype he is being given by the media? He may just be the flavor of the day when a couple of the other QBs are better. People are quick to jump on bandwagons and miss out on the real stars. It is not that hard to create myths and stars in the media. Keep printing the name over and over and even the pros can fall for the bait. Geno may really be a star but one has to be very selective and usually the NFL is when they pay out millions for these early picks. The media help create a lover for the Notre Dame LB who did not even exist. Probably cost him millions of dollars and a lot of draft slots lost. I hope we have some really smart people looking at these QBs and studying film and reviewing their interviews to see what is real and what is not. Forget the media and fans and do what you are paid to do. Pick the man who will do the best job for us. A lot of experts apparently did not study Wilson and Keppernick last year including our guys. There may be a Wilson or Keppernick in this group? The largest gamble in professsional sports is picking a QB in round 1.

I would take Geno smith. He would make the Oline look a lot better and cover flaws. Not to mention buy some time for Fitzgerald and Roberts. He is clearly the best pick. Use our other picks on Olineman.

No offense, but what hype? Last time I checked most of the media still believes he isn't one of the 20 most talented players in this years draft, but only that he is the best QB in this draft.

All indications are that Geno will be gone. The question remaining is whether the Cardinals would draft any of the other QB's @ 7? I think the Bills are prepared to take Nassib @ #8, so maybe we beat them to it. Marrone & OC Hackett know Nassib well. If they're inclined to grab him, we should be prepared to do the same. Maybe Barkley? I don't think there's a QB in the draft that is top 10 quality, but there's far less of a financial risk in the top 10 than ever before. If BA wants to go that way, I'll understand. Can't win SB's in the NFL without a great QB. BA's been around too long & is too old to bring any other philosophy into play.

I simply do not see Nassib, a dome player, going to Buffalo that high. Do expect, however, movement back into the top of the first round to grab him and others.

Actually to clarify, if Geno, Joeckel, Fisher, or Warmack are available and they take someone else I'll be dumbfounded and a little pissed.

If none of those 4 are available then I hope they take BPA and don't reach for a Barkley or Johnson type player with elite talent at other positions staring them in the face.

I'm originally from Syracuse, so I've watched every game that Nassib's played. Keep in mind that he only played home games in the dome. Half his games were played outdoors in mostly the northeast. I'll say this about Nassib: he improved exponentially as Marrone developed him. He's extremely bright & tough. BA would love that type of guy. There's no doubt in my mind that the Bills will take him, unless Geno is still there. Playing his college ball in a dome will not factor at all in their decision. Too risky trading back when you're in love with your guy. Marrone WANTS Nassib & Nassib wants Marrone.

On ESPN during Geno's pro day, Jaws gave his stamp of approval and said he's a top 10 QB FWIW.

Well, if Geno is off the board early and Buffalo takes Nassib at #8, I like our QB options in the second round without the need to move up.
