Idea to throw out there...

Since Movie-A-Day has slowed down a little bit, thought I'd put forward an idea I've been mulling over for a while, at least since the threads about the top imdb movies were created...

Someone (I think it was devilalum) had suggested doing more specific threads about certain movies--like "Favorite movie with Brad Pitt" or "Best movies with animals as major characters". Anyone interested in doing one of those per day, or just throw some out there and see who bites?

I was thinking more like anyone can post a new thread anytime--no schedules needed.

Sounds awesome. I copied KLL’s theme idea and did my 7 movies of the week of Elizabeth Shue. A “theme for the week” might be a lot of fun.

How do we want to do it? No restrictions, or have a list for one person to take a week (like Movie-A-Day), and they could just post a theme for the week, or multiple themes or whatever. You can also tie it into your Movie-A-Days as well---that way the schedule is already made. But you also don't have to tie the two together. For example, I could have a Movie-A-Day week and then choose a couple themes, like "Possessed Cars" or "Top 5 Marooned on a Desert Island" movies, but I can do 7 completely non-related movies for my Movie-A-Days.

Throw out some ideas guys.

I dont think movie a day has slowed down too much since it was started up again. Everyone pretty much did their week except shane! ).

I think incorporating it into movie a day would work better. Whoever's week it is can choose to do a theme of his or her choice and pick the movies for that theme.

I don't like that idea--I like the idea that it is an option, but not as a rule.

I think it's a cool idea. I thought about posting a "Favorite 80s movies" thread here about a week ago.
