Since I really havent liked Kobe from day one, it would be really hard for me to see #8 in purple and orange. I wouldnt boo, and maybe not even cheer him on for a long time. But here's my question. If Kobe became a Sun, how long would it take you to embrace him fully?

I voted not until he helped us win a championship. Because, we have had plenty of stars on this team that never won it all for us, thats the only thing he could to for me to make me embrace him.

I cant answer that poll. If he is found guilty of sexual assault I can never EVER support him. Its hard enough supporting a guy who is an adulterous sleaze. But thats his personal choice and his off court choices dont and shouldnt affect how I view him on the court....

UNLESS HE BROKE THE LAW.

If he is exonerated, I would embrace him IMMEDIATELY.

Being a Lakers' fan, I checked "embrace him right away" because I'll embrace the fact that the creep is no longer on my team's roster.

I wonder if the C's would bring him in though. They just got rid of Frank Johnson (sleeping with a sponsor's wife), Penny Hardaway (incident with a gun and his girlfriend/mother of his kids), and Stephon Marbury (extreme dui). I wonder if Kobe's character issues would make the C's look elsewhere like McGrady, which I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind.

I think its pure coincidence that Marbury had a DUI and was traded. To assume he was traded for something that hapened awhile ago is speculative at best, but as long as we're doing that, Id speculate that you are wrong in making that comparison with regard to Marbury.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that's why they were traded, just pointing out the coincidence. Each had a character issue while here...each is no longer here. If anything, I know plenty of fans that were surprised Frank Johnson held onto his job so long after the cheating was exposed, since JC is always talking about character being important in the organization.

Point taken, I just think people take that sentiment a bit farther than it probably actually is a mitigating factor in basketball decisions within the org.
