None of it is a ploy. We're hurting. We have endured too much. It's one thing to lose everyone we did, but quite another to lose your #1 and #2 QB. No team can overcome that. Nobody.
I remember watching in the 70's, teams had some beloved backups, really well liked dudes, that came in and won games. But this isn't 1970. And frankly, even those teams, back then, didn't lose their #1 and #2. It's impossible. It's unfortunate. It sucks so bad.
People expect somehow that BA has something up his sleeve, that he'll somehow pull it out. But that's because he's been so awesome this year. We can't overcome these QB injuries, not in today's football. He's an awesome coach to do what he's done, really awesome, to go 5-3 with a backup. But now at QB #3, and sometimes at #4, there's no way.
It's time to face reality people. BA ran out of quality players, at several positions, all year, but none so important as QB. It can't be done.
