If Orlando Pace is traded to the Texans would the Cards consider trading LJ to a division rival?

It depends on what they are willing to give up for LJ. But it may not happen since we are in the same division.

Sure, for a #2 draft pick. If the Cards thought highly of Shelton for the price they were paying, they would be keeping him.

If Orlando Pace is traded

Mr. Bulger, meet Mr. Okeafor and Mr. Berry. They'll be visiting often. :D

In this case I dont think Green would mind. He really wants draft picks this year.

True. If the Rams wants LJ I'll ask the Rams for whatever they get for Pace from Houston, ie draft picks.

Why wouldn't they? If Green thinks he's not good enough to start for the Cards then trade him to a rival.Besides, it's not like trading a marquee player and the Cards sent Aeneas to the Rams so there is a history.

So far sending our players to St. Lous (Dishman, Lucas, Stone, etc.) hasn't made the Rams any better, so send them L.J. also.

Just a little update on Orlando Pace being traded to the Texans, it seems as if the Texans may be offering LB - Jamie Sharper as part of the deal. If not Sharper will most likely be cut later on anyways.

Bulger will be used to saying.

"Thank you sir, May I have another?"

I would send LJ to the Rams for Faulk. Jackson is clearly the man there now. Faulk is on the downside of his career. However he still may have a couple of years left in him.

NFL Network reports the Texans and Orlando Pace all but agreed to terms on a contract. If the Texans and Rams can agree on compensation, he'll be in Houston by Wednesday.
It looks like it will happen. Houston is willing to give up the #13 overall pick in the draft and has two third-rounders possibly available. The Rams want two first rounders, but are expected to settle for less. Terrible news for Marc Bulger; great news for David Carr. Mar. 14 - 7:45 pm et- rotoworld
Well it looks like Berry and Okefor will be having field days on Bulger excellent news. I hope Martz gets another offensive player with that 1st rounder though.

Rams fans are freaking out over this report. It doesn't sound like too solid of a report to me though.

Damn the Rams might have the ammo to reload. But of course with Martz running their war room they'll be picking offense again. :D

If they get Pick #13 they will pick either Barron or Jamaal Brown to refill their need at one of the voids they have at both Tackle spots.

And if they go with a D player, who cares because he will be in the Marmie system where all talent is deemed useless.

But it would also load up the Rams with Draft picks to go after Shelton as well.

I would not care who they traded him to if it benefits our team. I doubt many teams do or kill a deal because the player involved is in or out of the division. You have to take care of your own needs first and foremost. The other teams will do what they need to do. We have trouble enough handling our own needs without trying to figure in how a deal effects the other team.
