Assuming Curt Schilling gets in the HOF, whose cap should he wear on his bust?

Phillies, Diamondback or Red Sox

Huge Dbacks fan but I chose Phillies. Schilling is no Dback he was a hired gun for a couple years and gone same thing in Boston. He did win 2 in Boston though so I could see some wanting him to wear Sox and he was drafted by them right? But he is really a Philly he was there forever.

Forgot he won two in Boston. I change to Boston. I am so inconsistent with the flipping.

I am so obama with the flipping.
McCain and Clinton have done the same.

Campaign politics have become so Hollywood, it takes games to play the game.

BTW, spelling Obama's name with a lower case "o" is not just incorrect, it's a cheap shot.

Who really cares? He has done nothing but diss the D-backs since he left.
Is his D-back ring now his "C" ring behind "A" and "B" rings in Boston?

I hope he ties a bloody sock around his head or skips out that day to go on a pre-planned family cruise.

He will choose Red Sox because he is such a Boston homer. But he should choose Philly

and i get in trouble for the political avatars....
I was totally joking. I really do not get what the trouble is. In an effort to be more like Obama, I changed the term.

Itll be Boston, no question about it. Bloody sock, ending the curse, its got to be Boston.

I don't really care either way, Randy will be the first to go in wearing the Arizona A.

I guess that's why politics shouldn't be introduced onto this sports board. I'm sure most of us have our preferences.

Hey, getting back to sports. The Mouth That Roared -- Shadow Mountain's own Schilling -- has certainly dissed the D'backs since he left.

Once again, I don't think he'll have to worry about a HOF hat.

i am i the only one that misread the tittle of this thread and thought it said if schilling gets into the hall of fame what crap?

I personally think he should be in the hof but people know him as a red sox and not a diamond back as much.

Boston

In a sense I would like D-Bax, it was the 1st one, it was after 9/11, it was against the Yankees, and it was one of the most dramatic world series' of all time.

But Schilling went to Boston, won two world series, and after the one he said the boston ring was 1A, and we were 1b. Funny I though Arizona would be 1A, and Boston would be 1B lol. But that's how he publicly stated he viewed it after the first ws ring in boston, so adding another one would suggests it'll be Boston. (don't forget the bloody sock and end of the curse of the bambino)

Plus that had me a bit miffed, and if he wants boston more than here, he can have it.

That said he was a bit miffed about the shoulder situation where he wanted surgery they wanted rehab, but if he had surgery in the offseason like he wanted he'd be probably 3/4 of the way back rather than just about to start on his recovery.

Maybe that makes him rethink what cap he wants to wear, maybe not. But if he comes crawling back, (very doubtful) wanting to wear our cap, we should think very hard between saying, 'Yes', and think very hard about telling him to stick it where the hot Phoenix sun don't.....

If I am not mistaken the Commisoner or his office decides what cap for a player that is inducted into the hall of fame. This came about when Steinbrenner offered Dave Winfield $200,000 to be inducted into the hall as a Yankee. Not 100 percent sure but I do know Steinbrenner was not happy Winfield went into the hall as the first Padre to be inducted.

The Hall of Fame actually determines which cap logo will be used on an inductee's plaque. The logo selection is based on where that player makes his most indelible mark, in the judgement of the HOF.
