We are such a week to week division (or is that weak to weak?) but I have to say they are playing the best football out of the three contenders. I hate the Rams almost as much, but jeez, the few Niner fans I know in my parts are soooo damn annoying. Whoever wins should not take pride in doing so, but these bozos will find a way to rub it in my face, and proclaim that the SB is theirs for the taking. Plus I couldn't stand to see SF's owner be right. Go Rams!(?)

I dont see how the 49ers can beat the Chargers next week.. And we should beat the Panthers.. Which will have us tied with them.. Hell, they could lose their last 3 @SD, @ StL and then us again..

I'd kind of like the Niners to knock off San Diego so it would help the Chiefs. I hate the Niners too but I just don't think it matters this year. Someone has to win this pile of crap of a division. Maybe the Niners could win next week and lose the division anyway. But whatever.

I said a few weeks ago that the Niners had a great shot to win the division. They are one game back and have a better division record ATM with 2 more to play. They are in 3rd place and almost control their own destiny.

I totally get that. I'm trying to help my brother out otherwise I'd never pull for the Niners. For what its worth though, I think San Diego will give the Niners an historic beat down. If the Chiefs take care of their own business it won't even matter. I sincerely appreciate your disgust for the Niners.

I think the niners have the best shot to represent our division in the playoffs. We proved that even the "worst team in playoff history" can make history. I have no hate for the niners, in fact my father in law was a diehard niners fan, he passed away recently. But for over 20 years he respected me for sticking with the Cards when they totally sucked, and we had many long discussions about the Cards. He was so thrilled when we (and me) went to the Super Bowl. His support during our awful times, well, it made me see things through his eyes.

He could have ridiculed me as many others did in the bay area, but he really loved my love for the Cards and listened to me saying "next year, next year will be our year".

Things really went south for the Niners after they failed on the 4th and goal; up until then it looked like they were going to compete, then Justin Smith getting tossed for pushing a ref aside caused things to snowball. Enjoyable.

Agree with the sweetest thing would be knock the Whiners out of the playoffs with a win in the last game of the season. That would almost equal the epic win years ago knocking Minnesota off their perch.
