The Cardinals re-sign Frank Sanders and trade for Marcus Robinson.

AND

Draft Suggs with the 6th pick.

Who do we draft in the second round? What position? And would you think if this all happens we are playoff bound?

You could go... DT that slips from the 1st to early second... A good corner would be left... no need to take a qb unless someone falls big time... Or go center.

If that happens I would be very, very excited! I would say we draft either a C or a CB. If somehow Mike Doss is still availabe, gotta look at him too cause I'm not quite sold on Jackson and we would at least have Great Depth. So I say, either a C or a CB are the top two options. After that Doss if availabe or maybe even a WR.

That would be a nearly perfect scenario.

Holy **** twice in one day Endzone I think the sky is falling!

That really is the perfect scenario and a damn good and possible one at that!

That would clear up alot of ? on this team and make us competative in our division right away IMO!

I say we go ahead and sign Holliday as well

I agree I would be very pumped as well, I say the Cards go best overall with a defensive selection in round 2 if this happens

I'm not a big fan of Mike Doss, and I think I would puke if the team used a 2nd rounder on him, or any safety for that matter.

I seriously doubt that Doss is even on our radar screen.

I would target T Suggs in round 2.

My first rounder would be Newman preferably but am more than willing to take Trufant.

If we had Suggs, Junior, Robinson and Holiday I would start saving for playoff tickets now...

May I be the first to vote for Rod Graves Executive of the year!

It's possible now after Suggs' workout. If we're this lucky and get Suggs in the 1st there can IMO not be any doubt that we go for a CB in the 2nd.

We have four major needs: 1. DE, 2. WR, 3. DT & 4. CB (Ranked like that IMO)

We have a lot of young talent at WR that right now all looks like #3 receivers, but some could develop into a #1 receiver (Gilmore & McAddley) If Frank and Robinson are signed we would also have two aging veteran #2 receivers. All complete #1-type receviers would probably be gone at #37, and there's no reason to reach after one with Gilmore's & McAddley's potential. So I would take a possession WR that can learn under Sanders and Robinson (e.*. Sam Aiken or Teyo Johnson) in the 3rd instead.

Wendall Bryant was the best one-gap DT in the draft last year and we need a two-gapper to take up space and help stopping the running game next to him. This year's draft is extremely deep at DT, but unfortunately most of the talent are one-gap guys. Kennedy, Robertson, Sullivan and Texas A&M's Ty Warren are the only awesome two-gap talent. If Ty Warren is there at #37 - take him, but I doubt it, so pass on a one-gap DT, and take a two-gap DT in the 4th.

That leaves us with CB. Newman and Trufant will probably go in the top 10, but there are about 5 guys (Woolfork, Weathersby, Sammy Davis, Mathis & Wilson) that are projected from mid 1st round to mid 2nd round. There should be 2 or 3 of these guys left at #37, so take a CB, because it gives us the best value.

It's because I don't want him...certainly not at #6. I didn't before his workout, I don't now. Pure sarcasm on my part. Figured everyone knew my position since I am the only one who doesn't appear completely fooled by Suggs.

Ooh ok now I understand the sarcasm!

Oh and by the way none of us are fooled. The guy is a pure flat out talent who gets results on the field.

Regardless of what happened yesterday!

The only thing that happened yesterday that should concern people was his weak ass attempt at benching 225. That is frightening IMO.

Otherwise, I think he has pulled to wool over everyone's eyes...of course with my predicition abilities he will break Strahans sack record in week 10 and proceed to get 35 his rookie year...and only get better from there. :D

Wow. That's the most sane and responsible draft post I've seen on this board from anyone but me.

The only thing I can quibble with is WR being out second-greatest need. I think that, to everyone not working inside the red fences of the practice facility, our WRs are an unknown commodity, and if Sully thinks we're fine, so be it. Flip WR and DT and we have a deal.

I didn't know that you spoke Danish, Section.

But to answer your question - I'm a football nut. And one of best friends is the head NFL commentator on Danish TV, so we talk a lot about football.

I don't actually. But I am part Danish!

You're efforts were worth a Danish to English internet translator!

Well, since you're part Danish. Let me correct you. Mærkelig is correct in a sentence, but if you use it alone, you have to add a t - mærkeligt. :D
