That's why...plus FAs were pretty much in defense, plus resigning existing offensive pieces.

There are rumors of Kirk being shopped...and like him/hate him, Chris Simms seems to usually have decent contacts, who are telling him it's Lamb.

The sort of thing that happens to us as Cards fans is... Simmons is there at 8, we trade down to 16 and everyone cries, then at 16 Simmons is still there and we rejoice only to then select the 6 best OT.
