If you have not seen the movie "Freaks" you must this week

Turner Classic Movies is showing the 1932 movie Freaks this Wednesday at 6:00PM Mountain Time. This is a movie that could never be made today. Freaks is just freaky. You can't really explain it, you have to see it. The ending is very disturbing. You can say the entire movie is disturbing. If you have not seen it I recommend this one, especially with halloween coming up.

This movie is the definition of disturbing! It is sad the way the handicapped and deformed were exploited back then and put on display.

Strange movie, but once you start watching, you can't look away.

The film's original ending showed Hercules singing soprano in Madame Tetralini's new sideshow because he has been castrated by the freaks. After intensely negative reaction by preview audiences, this scene was cut.
