That is all
At least until they go on NCAA probation anyways.Besides recruiting , it looks like Zook can coach 'em up.

Zook is clean... (well, as clean as any college coach)
Are you implying college coaches arent clean? Of course some of them aren't, but you would be suprised how many who are know exactly which ones aren't. And they deal with that in their own way...
There is clean, there is semi-clean (bend but dont break the rules), there is clean(ish) (bend the rules, minor infractions) and then there is never-clean (institutionalized rule breaking.) The latter is prevelent in many universities, and the coach, when hired, understands that.
Nobody at Illinois will come right out and say it -- at least, not publicly -- but their negative recruiting leader in the clubhouse is none other than Notre Dame, which thought it had a commitment from Benn, but then didn't.
This overstatement makes Touchdown Jesus cry.Great article.
The article also reinforces why Notre Dame is the scum of College Football...

Maybe Zook committed the sin of recruiting in Chicago, which has been the property of Notre Dame forever.
Illinois is still underrated. They are exciting and are helping to shake up a usually boring Big 11. Only Tressel and Ohio State seem impervious to rebuilding. The Buckeyes truly just reload.
As far as the Notre Dame bashing, eh, some ole same ole. Heard it all before. Will hear it all again.
I still do like Illinois. Zook got screwed by Florida.
