True confessions: Since I was born and raised in South Bend, Ind., home of the University of Notre Dame, I bleed blue and gold. So when it comes to Fighting Irish football, I've been fretting over something during the past couple of days. Then again, it won't happen. It can't happen. Uh-oh. Urban Meyer (yeah, THAT Urban Meyer, owner of three national champions, along with a shady reputation away from X's and O's that only got worse this week at Ohio State) could become Notre Dame's football coach sooner than you think. Which brings me to this: Even though I'm not Catholic, I'm already saying a few Hail Marys to keep this guy away from what he has called his dream job so much I can't keep up anymore.
