Edessa Noyan is joining Indiana women's basketball after playing her first two seasons at Virginia.

The 6-foot-3 Swede started 23 of her 26 games for the Cavaliers (17-15), averaging 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds. She missed six games early in the season with pneumonia.

She joins a frontcourt that is light on experience. Phoenix Stotijn (Arkansas) started last season. Faith Wiseman and Sydney Fenn both played sparingly for the Hoosiers, as did incoming transfer Zania Socka-Nguemen (UCLA).
