Florida basketball opens up its SEC Tournament play on Friday night against the Missouri Tigers in the quarterfinal round, which will be held inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The last time these two teams met, Mizzou gave the Gators their only home loss of the 2024-25 campaign by a narrow one-point margin, and the Tigers already overcame the Mississippi State Bulldogs to set up the matchup.

It has been almost exactly two months since that last meeting and much has happened since. Todd Golden's team ended up earning a No. 2 seed in the conference tourney while Dennis Gates' squad grabbed a No. 7 seed; both teams are destined for an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Ahead of the game, the SEC availability report was released for both teams, with Florida's forward Sam Alexis listed as "out". The frontcourt transfer from the Chattanooga Mocs has been dealing with an ankle injury over the past month and last played in a game on Feb. 11 against Mississippi State. He was removed from UF's availability report on March 4 for the Alabama Crimson Tide game, but did not see any action.

The 6-foot-9-inch native of Apopka, Florida, has played in 23 games for the Gators this season, averaging 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per.

Missouri's report issued a clean bill of health for the Tigers going into this monumental matchup.
