Quotes are somewhat promising ...

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt spoke briefly after practice but provided
little detail on Rodgers-Cromartie's condition.

"We'll know more tomorrow," Whisenhunt said.

"He tried to go but it's a little sore so we'll see tomorrow."

Looks like its nothing too major.. Thank God we have some serious pass-rushers now, compared to previous years.

The Cardinals luck is changing. We are now going to start getting the breaks going our way, including questionable calls and balls bouncing to our benefit.

This is our decade.

Screw ESPN. Urban was right there. Heck, our own Redheart gave a report on the practice and didn't even mention it.

I know there are reports out there that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was carted off the practice field with his ankle injury. That may be true (I did not see it myself) but it only made sense since DRC was on the far field after getting hurt and there was no reason for him to limp all the way back to the locker room. Just know this: I saw DRC in the cafeteria at dinner, and while he was wearing a walking boot, he was walking on his own.

Cards notebook: Rodgers-Cromartie carted off field with ankle injury

Mike Tulumello, Tribune
FLAGSTAFF - Rookie cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was carted off the field during Tuesday afternoon’s practice after injuring his right ankle.

Rodgers-Cromartie, the Cardinals’ top draft pick, rolled his right ankle during drills halfway through practice and did not return to the field.

“He tried to go, but it’s a little sore,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “We’ll know more (today).”

The Cardinals’ depth in the secondary could be tested this week as safety Antrel Rolle continues to sit out with a sore foot. Cornerback Rod Hood also sat out Tuesday with a sore foot but Whisenhunt described this as “nothing more than precautionary.”

Also, receiver Early Doucet, who missed the first preseason game — and much of training camp — with a sore hamstring will try to practice by Thursday.

But his status for Saturday’s game at Kansas City is “undetermined,” Whisenhunt said.

Doucet, the team’s third-round draft pick, would like to be battling Steve Breaston and others for the No. 3 receiver spot.

Any word on DRC today?

Yes. According to Urban's blog, the team only did walk through this morning and DRC looked OK. Whiz released them for a movie today, before the practice under the lights tonight.

Urban will keep us updated on DRC's practice load tonight.

I heard Tim Hightower put a move on and broke his ankle.

i heard tim hightower actually reattached the ankle and now drc runs a 3.89 40, but only on that side of his body, which means he runs in really fast circles now. mr. hightower is contemplating snapping off and reattaching the other ankle in a routine rebalancing and alignment service.
