According to Gerry Dulac, a longtime Steelers insider who broke the news on the Aaron Rodgers–Pittsburgh meeting, the Steel City will almost certainly address the defensive line in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

During Wednesday’s Steelers chat on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Dulac doubled down on the team’s first-round priorities:

“I think they will go for the DL at 21.”

Much of the draft speculation has surrounded Michigan DT Kenneth Grant, Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen, and Oregon DT Derrick Harmon — but Dulac argued that Grant is more of a pure nose tackle, leaving two clear favorite DT prospects in his mind for the Steelers.

Nolen is one of the best pass-rush specialists on the defensive line and likely has a higher ceiling — but Harmon blends pass-rushing with run-stopping ability seamlessly, and achieved something Nolen didn’t during the pre-draft process: a top-30 visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
