Holy cow, what a bonanza for AZ tourism! Who wants to bet that the Insight Bowl travels better than the Fiesta Bowl? I am guessing Stanford fans won't even approach the number of OU and Iowa Fans.

If the Insight Bowl wanted to bring money to the Valley, well done!

yeah - excellent game choice

i've always had a soft spot for Baylor, so I was hoping to see them and RG3 out here - but you can't argue with that matchup .... holy smokes - wonder what they will do with stadium capacity this year

Both bowls are terrific matchups and will big big winners for the Valley. But yea, OU and Iowa will pack the house as they always do!

doesn't matter - iowa state was a huge draw when they were out here - iowa will easily surpass that

oklahoma pretty much has a 2nd home and i think 3/4 of the upper midwest found there way out here as well ........ anytime they can have MN, IA, WI play out here they'll do it for the sure fire surge in attendance

even though iowa stink their fans will jump at the chance to go see them play against a team like oklahoma - transplants will love it because they get to see their home area team in their backyard and others from iowa will see a good opportunity to get out of the freezing and come visit family/friends around the holidays

Bowl games have little to do with on field competition, other than who brings more guests to the party. Maybe that is the way it has always been, and the best reason for a football playoff season.

Eg. Miami turned down a bowl invite because they don't travel well and couldn't afford to buy out their ticket allotment and meet expenses, even with the payout.
