We all saw in the Super Bowl the 2-point attempt get over turned based on the replay. We also saw Larry get robbed of a TD catch against SF in a similar fashion.

I would like to see replay changed to where the refree is only allowed to see the play in real-time and not in slow motion.

I think that the slow motion gives the false sense that a catch is made or is at least held on to longer than what really happened.

I think this would be more fair, as the officials on the field do not have the benefit of slow-mo in their calls.

The only time I would advocate slo-mo is for guys running out of bounds.

What say you guys (and gals)?

I say get the call right, even if you have to slow it down to one frame a second and zoom in to molecule level. Get the call right. Get the players what they earn.

Agreed! But are you implying that they did get the call correct on the TD play to which stewdog referred?

I don't really know if they did or didn't. As they showed the replay in super slo-mo it appeared that perhaps the receiver held the ball long enough; but at real speed it did not appear that way to me.

Overall, it seemed that call that were reviewed were decided correctly more often this season than previous years.

Also, I like the college system; the review official is not part of the on-field crew that made the call originally. I think that it is human nature for the Referee to tend to not want to reverse a call. Whereas the official "in the box" is likely to be consistently more objective in his ruling, as he doesn't have a stake in the original call.

So I am saying that I see stewdog's point, the super slo-mo reviews may distort the reality of the play.

Nope. Keep as is. BTW that two point conversion in SB was right call. If your trying to imply that it wasnt because it was not seen in real time to the ref.

Agreed. Replays showed it was the correct call.

Agree 100%. Slowing that film down that much is ridiculous on that play. Having control of the ball for 1/10th of a second does not constitute control.

Replay is fine the way it is. The only change I would consider is the incomplete pass/fumble/tuck rule.
