Trade the number sixth and a second rounder next year to the Jets for both of their 1st rounders. Sign KGB to an offer sheet, around 5 years, 25 million with a 10 million dollar bonus. Sign Darrell Jackson to a 6 year, 24 million dollars (or more) and a 6 million dollar bonus.

Both of these players fill tremendous needs. Darrell Jackson is not a star receiver, but he catches everything thrown his way. KGB would give us a bigtime pass rusher, and would be worth every penny.

What do you guys think?

Is Jackson an RFA too? So we'd end up with no first round pick, but KGB and Jackson? And no 2nd rounder.

My one concern is we won't pay 16 million in bonus money, and Jackson's health is a concern remember he had a problem with his neck last year. They cleared him to play again but it's a concern with a big bonus kind of deal.

Not suggesting Jurecki hadn't thought of this before, but I believe pinnacle should get credit for suggesting this yesterday.

Why on earth would the Jets want the #6 when we, with all our holes, can't find anything to do with it?

Also, if the 'Hawks have almost as much free agency money as we do. They could easily match any sane offer we could put out there. Also, with our lack of imagination in structuring contracts, I don't think we'd include a "poison pill."

Isn't KGB just an older version of Dennis Johnson? Why are we panicing and giving up on our younger players? Also, is it a good idea to have a D-Line with two players with such similar initals (KVB and KGB)?

I would go after KGB but I firmly believe the Packers would match the offer...unless the Cards just waaaaay overbid it or put in some poison pill into the offer sheet. I haven't looked up KGBs stats but I believe he has had more sacks the past 2 years than Colvin has had.

The Jets want to trade up to possibly get Andre Johnson.

True, but if that doesn't work out, we still have the 1st rounder to work with, which still wouldn't be a bad scenario

Well DJ, hasn't had 25 sacks over the past 2 years, and bringing in KGB is in no way giving up on DJ.
