Looks like UW is going to win the conference. WSU has beaten UCLA, ASU and UA but I seriously don't see them beating UW because the game is played at UW.
Some data that someone posted on my favorite UCLA board.
UW in Pac 10 games at UW(8 total), averages 37 free throw attempts a game, the opponent 19.4 FT's a game. UW on the road in 9 games averages 21.78 FT's a game, their opponent 21.
That's about as clear cut as it gets, they average 15 more FT's a game at home as compared to the road, which by the way is by far the biggest home/road disparity in the conference.
For comparison sake at home UCLA 20 opponent 17, UCLA on the road 14, opponent 21.
ASU at home 19, opponent 16, on the road, ASU 16, Oppponent 17
Cal at home 17 opponent 16, on the road Cal 15, opponent 22.
I am going out on a limb and predict UW doesn't win the Pac 10 tourney and doesn't win more than 2 games in the NCAA tournament. They're a very good team, Romar has done a terrific job this year, but it's quite clear why they are in first place and since the tournaments won't be played at UW, I suspect they won't win.
Not in any way blaming UW for this discrepancy by the way but it's pretty startling.
