I heard a Suns player on KZON 101.5 FM on Friday (I think it was Scott Williams) and he told a story about McDyess wanting to wear #34. He said that McDyess couldn't wear #34 because they are putting Barkley in the ring and once they do that the jersey number can not be worn the season it is done or the following season.......after that it can be worn again. So they are not retiring numbers, just not allowing people to wear them right away.

He also went on to say since Mcdyess couldn't wear 34 then he wanted 24 which Googs wears and Googs asked McDyess how much it was worth to him.......apparently 50 cents wasn't enough for Googs to give up the number.

Poor Dice. We must really be making him feel welcome.

“Uh, Antonio? Jeff Hornacek called. He wants you to stop wearing #14.”

(McDyess turns in his #14 jersey for a #4.)

“Uh, Antonio? Skeeter Henry called...”

(He turns in his #4 for a #4.44.)

“Uh, Antonio? cap called...”
