"Word is the Cardinals have had preliminary talks with OT L.J. Shelton and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch about contract extensions. "
We've already heard this but I still like hearing that the Cards are already thinking about the future.
"We hear the Cardinals are considering Wisconsin C Al Johnson as a possible long-term replacement for Mark Gruttadauria , who was released. Johnson was one of the first players the Cardinals interviewed at the Combine in Indianapolis. "
Very interesting! I guess the question is do the Cards gamble on him being there in the third or do they snag him early in the second.
"We hear it’s very unlikely former Arizona first-round pick Thomas Jones will be a third running back behind Emmitt Smith and Marcel Shipp. Look for the Cardinals to try to deal Jones for a draft pick, and if that doesn’t work, look for Jones to be cut. "
Again nothing new here. TJ will not be a cardinal for much longer and I doubt someone would be stupid enough to trade for him when they could pick him up for much cheaper after he is cut.
