With practice now underway and the annual open spring game right around the corner, Iowa football has released its 2025 spring depth chart with lots of new names highlighting impactful positions.
Starting with the quarterback position, senior Brendan Sullivan is listed as the Hawkeyes' No. 1 quarterback, with sophomore transfer Hank Brown slotted in the backup role.
South Dakota State transfer Mark Gronowski is not listed on the depth chart as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. Gronowski's recovery time should have him cleared for practice sometime in the summer months.
At running back, Iowa is replacing star tailback Kaleb Johnson. With the recent news of defensive back John Nestor entering the transfer portal, that opens up a slot in the Hawkeyes' defensive backfield.
