Is Kevin Kolb capable of doing what Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers are doing tonight?

I'm jealous. :(

Sure he is capable -- he's gone over 300 and won conference player of the week on multiple occassions. The real question is whether or not he can do it on a consistent enough basis to eventually end up in their class.

Brees? Yes. I think he could be that cerebral of a QB.

Rodgers..... Hell No.

I posted this on Facebook earlier: Aaron Rodgers is proving 2 things tonight. 1. Skynet exists. 2. Humans are doomed.

As long as we don't try to run it up the middle on the last play of the game,

I mean really?

I figured the Packs D was tired on the last play...but boy, the bootleg with Brees walking in sure would've been a nice call.

He's looked great in some games so I'd say he is capable. Consistency is what I am hoping for. And a line that can protect his injury prone ass...:p

Exactly. The Saints wish they had a do over. I think the Saints should have gone to their TE Graham more often.

Since watching Rodgers in the Wild Card game in Glendale, I've thought he'd take over as the best QB in the NFL. His arm and accuracy are insane. Therefore, it's unreasonable to think Kolb will be as good as him.
I think Kolb will be good. How good, we'll see.

Very good answer....what a great game...gutsy call by the refs under the circumstances....Kolb has the potential to be one heckuva qb, but he needs help from OL as you point out.....GB line was somewhat suspect but boy they sure came around quickly....

You will never hear a HC say that...ever...Peyton ain't no slouch and he knows what he is doing...would I sitting on my fisteris called a roll out...all day...but Peyton makes the big bucks..one thing we will never know...did DB actually change the play at the line???? I seriously doubt it....

I hope so. I got +1600 that he'll lead the league in passing this week!

He doesn't need to be and I don't think most Cards fans really care if he puts up Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees numbers. This is his first season as a starter.

Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the league (sorry Brees/Brady/Rivers). That's a high-bar to set for someone that hasn't started a full season.

If he just takes care of the ball and does slow drives he doesn't need to be flashy. Capable of it? Yes, I think so, but we just need no turnovers and ball control right now.

They sold out everything on the run on the last play. Front line dives/drives at legs, the second line all jump up, there was even another guy jumping up late too (but that might not of been planned lol)

Well now everyone has seen that with the packers. Watch next time they drop 9 or something.

As for Kolb, it might be possible. But still too early imo. We'll find out. But even then it took these guys years to get there. Probably won't happen this year. But Rodgers ascended pretty quickly most likely due to having time to be groomed. Let's hope the same thing happens here.

But yeah Brees and Rodgers put on a show. I suspected it was going to be a high scoring game. Which is why I picked green bay to win, but saints to cover the spread. Missed it by ' ' that much.

I expect that Kolb will be good, eventually.

I don't expect much before about week 6 though. Time in the offense to learn the plays and the players is what is needed here. He has only been in this system for what 3 - 4 weeks?

As fans we need to be patient.

Why? The Cardinals aren't patient when your season ticket bill is due.

There is no reason at all that Kolb can't do what Brees and Rodgers did. #1 we have Larry Fitzgerald. #2 we have a brilliant play caller in CKW. #3 you don't win NFC player of the week twice if you got no skills.

Kolb got the big money now he needs to go out and earn it. If I wanted to have patients I would have been a doctor. (Would have too if pre med hadn't been so easy it bored me to death)
