Is Sowell better than anything else we have?

Painful watching him today. College too.

Massie got a lot of love during the off season by us and some pundits. Time to see if he can handle some more responsibility. He has 16 games starting experience. What's the deal, can he be any worse?? Can we at least see??

Massie is a RT and does not play LT according to our coaches. Sowell is all we have I believe. Not even sure who would back him up.

It's just sad that we didn't try to upgrade at LT when we had a chance. Monroe would have been a huge addition to the line.

He's huge but not in his play, from what I've seen of him. He done anything lately?

What have we got to lose trying Massie? Could he do any worse? Could Potter?

Potter backs So well up and struggled even more so no, we don't have anything better on this roster at LT.

Massie is the Olineman coming in now when we go jumbo package so he is playing better (in the coaches eyes) than Potter but he has never ever played LT and can't beat out Winston for the RT spot.

Slide Winston over, let Massie go in at RT. You don't lose much at RT and LT should be upgraded.

The Cardinals couldn't block the Colts when AZ had 6 offensive linemen in the game. It was funny but sad watching Potter looking around like he was thinking what the heck just happened. Our offensive line is just that.

This line is going to look miraculously better with a qb with some semblance of pocket presence.

No it won't. Sowell, Fanaika and Winston aren't exactly the most talented players in the NFL. The number of times those guys just completely whiff on blocks makes you worry about Palmer's health.

The starting offensive line has a waiver wire pickup at LT, a guy who was out of football last year at RG, and a free agent signed in June at RT.

The line is the definition of a "patchwork" offensive line. I am shocked they play as well together as they do.

Getting a functional LT and Cooper back will do wonders. At that point, guys like Sowell and Fanaika go back to being very valuable depth.

Sowell is no world better at LT, but he settled down & played more than solid football in the 2nd half. I think it's safe to say, he's a better player than Levi Clown & we wouldn't be 7-5 with him still at LT. :p

The litmus test on Sowell will be when Robert Quinn comes into town on Sunday, because we all know what he did to Levi.

Maybe, but this line is going to be even better when we replace Bradley Sowell with an NFL-caliber talent.

That guy looked awful today.

Im glad to see this game didnt send anybody into knee jerk reaction tirades about replacing starters

Entire line got eaten up today. But its the same line that was solid the last 4 weeks. We lost by 3 because CP couldnt make the throws, not because of the line.

I didn't know knee jerk reactions lasted for months which is how long people have been talking about replacing Sowell.

When the move was made, it wasn't about getting better at LT. We were just told it couldn't get any worse.

Better than anything we have ?

Yup.

This organization should have fixed this situation 3 to 4 years ago, thus this is what they have to work with.

Cause and effect.

Agreed! He's not the only weakness on the offensive line, but he's the most consistent weakness.

This line wouldn't have looked bad at all if Palmer would have simply stepped up into the pocket when he had the opportunity. The sack/fumble would not have happened, and he would not have thrown short so many times from throwing off his back foot.

Putting Massie in at LT or moving Winston over to LT and then starting Massie at RT are both better options than Sowell. How many times does he have to be beat to realize that he isn't any good.
