Nope. Not even in SD. Was going to fire up SopCast to get the SD feed but it's not being broadcasted there either.

Bummer. This game is for the division lead, and it's not televised in either city.

5-0 :( I wanted a 4th divisional title, but they just don't seem to want it...

One game behind isn't that bad, but we are still 3.5 games ahead in the wild card. :-/ And last year's champ was a wild card. We'll beat them when it counts.

swing for the fences 100 times and eventually you'll get it. Congrats Byrnes on hitting a homer after all that effort!

Hey, at least we got the Mercury during this little slump, nowatimsayin?

You can't think that way because before you know it, the Phillies and Dodgers will pass them. You have to think about winning and you must win at home, something they are not doing this week.

I honestly don't care if we win the division, or are the wild card, I just DON'T want to face SD/Milwakee in the playoffs....

I would much rather be the wildcard and play the Mets in the 1st round because:

A. The thought of facing Peavy/Young in Game 1 & 2 is terrifying
B. We can't beat Milwakee to save our lives

The best Case Scernio in my mind is we win the division, but don't win the NL, and we get to face the cubs in the first round while the the Padres get to face the Mets.....

We wouldn't face the Padres in the first round no matter the outcome of the division or wild card.

If the Diamondbacks make the playoffs as the wild card winner, they would play the winner of the NL Central if the Mets end up with the best record in the NL. If the Padres have the best record, the Mets would be the opponent.

Why would we play the winner of the NL Central? The two teams with the worst records play each other?

I just want them to win the division, but if not, I'll be happy with the playoffs and still think we can do something there.

You can't play a team within your own division in the first round. So if the Mets have the best record, they have to play the winner of the NL West if two teams make it from the West.

If the Mets were the best seed why would they not then play the Wild Card team in another division?

I wrote before thinking.:) You're correct about the Mets playing the wild card team. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm tired and frustrated with how the Diamondbacks are playing.

Don't worry. I've said it before, but this is just their usual slump. They'll get hot again right before playoff time. :D

4 out of 5 head-to-head by the Pods in the last week. SD is really taking care of business when it matters. :(

Go young guys!
