who said we didn’t know what the Cards had. Apparently the answer is very little. I’ve been defending Keim but I can no longer. He left the Cards with at most 1 professional tight end and 1 aging wide receiver (maybe Kirk develops). An expensive backup QB that might have brought a draft pick if any them was that gullible. The Cards were. For several years now no significant free agents signed. I think games still depend on quality lines. Didn’t see one. As I predicted these LBs are horrendous in coverage. LBs are often weak; these guys are invisible. You may recall I said to exercise the option on Peterson and sometimes put Johnson in the slot. Apparently Washington liked the idea. Keim left the defense undermanned and the offense anemic. I can only feel sorry for those of you who’ve paid for this. It’s one thing to reload; it’s another to go unarmed.

I’d be remiss if I gave the coaching a pass. Players weren’t coached up on the new rules. The offense appeared to have no alternatives other than hand Johnson the ball. The defense did not adapt well to a 4-3. Play after play had people out of position and seemingly unclear as to their responsibilities. Some disruption is to be expected with a coaching change. This was way beyond disruption.

With wholesale changes in system and personnel it was just not smart to ignore the opportunity to use the preseason to acclimate the players. This coaching staff may succeed if ownership is patient, but this year they will be lucky to win 3 games. I expected weak; I didn’t expect incompetent.

Bradford dumping it three times in a row to DJ at first and goal at the 10 was telling for me. Even a rook would'nt do that. He's just getting rid of it. Inexcusable for a vet.

They have some starters out there who should obviously not be, at other spots.

I also agree that the PS wasn't used effectively for this team. Pretty obviously.

They're waiting until after the bye week to unveil the "real" offensive game plan.

15 more of these oh my! Stop the madness :barf:

You have to be a realist to identify, admit & fix the problems, which are many.

Harry is dead on! This team had more question marks than the Riddler in a Batman movie. Holes, holes, holes. And to think some were thinking this team would win 10-11 games. Lol

Trends are trends! Couldn’t stop the run in preseason & the offense couldn’t convert 3rd downs. Those are major problems for a football team at any level.

As I said before TC I thought it was going to be a difficult season at 5-6 wins. Talent & coaching win, one I know we’re short on & that’s the reality of it.

Hated how he did that.

And I said this team was gonna win 5-8 games with 8 bring best case.

If you thought this team was a double digit win team and a contender lol I got a bridge I wanna sell you

That’s Sammy Checkdown & his career! Screw his % percentage, he’s just not confident enough in his abilities, injury history or both. He is who he is.

Imo a great NFL QB has to have a certain risk taker mentality to him.

Look at the schedule.... If you didn't pick the Cards @ home against the Redskins as a probable win, please share your season predictions.

Jimmy G didn't have a great game... But they were playing the number one defense in the league, and still looked like world beaters on offense compared to us.

I know the team looked horrible, but they will not be this bad the rest of the year.

Things will improve, not enough to win many games, but enough that they will not embarrass themselves every game.

I predicted 2-14.

I found that very curious as well

The game is out of hand-- it's 1st nd goal at the 9

and he is throwing underneath to DJ, with his back to the defense, at the 8 yard line

It says something about either Bradford, or, the offensive plan

Look at the Bears. Even if they lose this game, their bright future will arrive sooner rather than later.

They made the RIGHT decision in hiring a young, bright minded OC with a young QB. We SHOULD’VE done that with DeFilippo.

Wilks wasn’t our first choice. I think it was Shurmur then another guy IIRC. Bears looking impressive.

Yup. You’re right, but once we struck out on Shurmur, we should’ve went after Flip. I didn’t like the Wilks hire because I hate pairing DCs with young QBs. Never works out well.
