Eagles and Girls are already being proclaimed the favaorites in the NFC...

I would take our aerial attack with Warner, Fitz, Boldin, and Breaston any time over Eagles...
Jackson, who has emerged as the league’s top big-play specialist with 12 touchdowns as a receiver/runner/returner, teams with Jeremy Maclin (52 receptions for 715 yards and four touchdowns) to give the Eagles a pair of speedsters in their aerial attack. Coach Andy Reid takes advantage of their explosiveness by routinely dialing up deep throws early in the game to stretch the defense.

BTW, there is no mention of Cardinals obviously among the teams who can come out of NFC.

It is what it is...

I am content to KNOW that we have a "shot". :)I DON'T think you can ask for anything MORE than that. ...And to be honest, I luv' the under-dog role! Case in point, the recent Rams' game compared to the Vikings' game. When the Vikings' game started I was glued to the TV thinking...IF this happens...Or IF that happens...We can WIN!! All of a sudden this red ball of FURY on my TV screen just rolled over the Vikings & crushed them. My heart was racing!! I was FIRED UP!!:)

Now, this past week I'm sitting there in the sportsbar waiting to watch us do battle with the Rams. My thought process is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!! There's a 98% chance we're going to win this game. I ENJOYED the game but the level of EXCITEMENT was DEFINITELY missing!

So, let the media PROCLAIM their "favorites". Didn't we hear this last year?? The Cardinals can't WIN because, well, they're...The Cardinals!! :mulli:There's a proverb that says...BETTER to keep silent and let people think you're a FOOL, then to open your mouth and REMOVE ALL DOUBT!! So, let the media makes FOOLS of themselves!! ...AGAIN! And when it's all said & done...We may very well be the ones with the BIG GRINS on our faces!!:D ...AGAIN!! GO CARDS!! :D

On the radio last night the ESPN guy was calling the Cardinals is "up and coming" team for the playoffs.

He mentioned their solid season record, excellent road record, and the idea that they may be peaking at the right time.

I am to the point now that I want the commentators and prognosticators to dismiss and pick against the Cards. Whenever the "experts" are picking the Cards to win it makes me nervous.

It is far better that the Cards are under the radar, not a popular choice to repeat as the NFC Champs..

I agree, I'd MUCH rather be under the radar.

What I've thought about the Cards since late last year is that the question isn't whether they CAN play well. If they play their game and things don't go insanely against them, I think they can beat anybody. I think the questions have been WILL they play well and will they do so consistently?

Anyway, they seem to play better with a chip on their shoulder.

Eh, I was all ready to change out my avatar, but I don't think I'll do that just yet. Granted, a lot more people are giving us a lot of respect now, but I still don't think we'll be hailed as any kind of favorites come playoff time. And we should be.

This team still seems to thrive on negative press or lack of respect from them. Hey, we all know that, so let the press bring us all the bulletin board material they can write (and as mentioned) "Shock the Word" part II will soon be debuting.

Worked Ok last year.
honestly I don't know who the favorite is from the national perspective. I still think a lot of people expect the saints to win the conference from what I'm hearing.

aside from that this is a historic matchup for the cowboys/eagles. the last time that I remember a matchup of this magnitude for dallas was when they played the giants and emmitt played with a seperated shoulder. one team could have a bye...the other team may be the last seed with NO playoff home games. a weird matchup to say the least....and it comes just after a year ago when these two duked it out for the final playoff slot. and we all know how that turned out.

but the NFC is clearly wide open even for the loser in this one.
