If your going to diss the Cards atleast get your facts right..the Cards finished the season 9-7...

"This is one of the bad jokes of playoff rules. The Eagles are a better team than Arizona, which made the playoffs with an 8-8 record. But the Eagles are a wild card, and thus they’re considered to be a lesser opponent than a division champion, so the Giants get them while Carolina gets to host the Cards.

So much for the rewards for winning. "

I especially like the part where he says the game will be over by halftime if not sooner...

What an idiot, I looked for an email address for the tool for like 10 minutes, I guess if I was a hack like that, I would keep my email somewhat hard to find too.

I looked for an email address as well. Appears he is a guest columnist, not a regular writer.

I send an email to the main sports email address:

It would behove Mike Celizic to do some fact checking before he voices his opinion in print. The Arizona Cardinals were 9 - 7 on the season, not 8 - 8. Such pathetic journalism should not be tolerated by NBC Sports.

"Of the four divisional playoff games this weekend, the Arizona Cardinals-Carolina Panthers match-up is easily the least enticing. The Cardinals stumbled to the title in the NFL's weakest division, while Carolina is a talented team without a lot of national hype. With three other games that pit fierce division rivals (Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants), two stout defenses (Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans) and teams playing a rematch of the game with the most thrilling ending of the year (San Diego Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers), why is the NFL subjecting us to the Cards-Panthers in Saturday primetime?"

Yep. We should just play this game at midnight so as not to go up against America's Most Wanted.

Let'em keep talking. In fact we should ENCOURAGE them to do so. Whiz hinted at it today in his presser.

That writer is clearly a grade-A moron. However, something good did come out of checking that drivel out; they had this sweet, sweet picture there:

The Cards "stumbled" to the title??? We had it wrapped up weeks before the end of the regular season. Stumbled, my ass.

How do you stumble to a division title when you go 6-0 in the division?

I swear, a part of our December football follies was having the division all but wrapped up before Thanksgiving. And we did that by beating Miami (a division winner) Dallas (who was a darling before we killed their mojo) and the Bills (who were 4-0 and another east coast darling before ADub assassinated their QB).
