Could Jack Howell be making that much of a difference so soon? It sure does look like Eric Byrnes has somewhat leveled his swing and Reynolds has been making an effort to hit to the opposite field. For Chris Young, he is a work in the making.

According to Sutton and Grace, Chris Young is still primarily hitting the bottom of the ball, causing popups. He needs to concentrate on hitting the upper half of the ball.

As opposed to Eric Byrnes whose swing is at a 135 degree angle, from his knees toward the sky.

I know it's easy to say, but it seems that Young's problem should be easier to resolve on a regular basis than Brynes'.

As far as I'm concerned CBY can ride pine for the rest of the season and Parra can take his spot. He already has more RBI's than CBY and he has 100 less at bats! And the only way we have a shot at the division is if we score 10 runs a game from here on out. I was going to be a bit more modest and say 7, but clearly with our bullpen and game managing a 6 run lead isn't nearly enough. The Dodgers have this division on lockdown, that offense is extremely talented without ManRam and they're currently obliterating the baseball with him out of the lineup. It's gonna be a long year boys.

It's never that simple... There's so much more involved in getting a guy to simply hit the top half of the ball. Young has long been and remain a serious liability to this team. He is a buzz-kill personified. Until he is permanently removed from this team, we can only expect more dismal results..
