Watching the Lions game was liking watching one of our bad games from last year.
Fumble and bumble on Offense, maybe take a small lead.
Absolutely kill on defense.
Half time.
Now other teams offense comes out and appears to have made adjustments. Cardinals defensive adjustments to counter that ? 0. Other team starts scoring at will.
Other team defense continues to pound on our offense. Adjustments by us ? 0. Offense withers away completely. Other team defense seems almost able to 'read' our next play better than some of our own offensive players.
Another loss.
Wait a week. Repeat.
Arians has stated quite clearly (in the newspaper, actual quote) that he would 'NEVER fire' one of his coaching staff. Maybe in extreme circumstance, change his assignment, but NEVER fire him.
We have been told over and over how much talent we have here (player wise).
We have been told of the, literally, hundreds of roster changes over the last few years.
I would guess with all that churn, we should be sitting here with the cream of the crop.
We are told, this team looks 'sharp' in practice. It's locked and loaded. And then they come out and do, basically, nothing.
Are they 'sharp' in practice, because our defense is playing our offense and they both are substandard, so it looks like hard fought battles but in reality, is it one set of sub-par bozos, matching up against another sub-par set of bozos ? I don't know. I don't think they do either.
We never seem to adjust during a game (especially on Defense).
On Offense we seem to call the same old plays in certain situations (I find myself calling the next play as they line up and then watch that exact play attempted and I AM A SERIOUSLY LAME FOOTBALL EXPERT. I DON"T KNOW S***). If I can read it, imagine how easy it is for actual pro's on the other side (and their coaches with a modicum of actual talent for coaching).
None of this is new.
If we do not annihilate Indy, we will all know, without a doubt, exactly what is coming.
Should that happen, I know it won't occur until after the season, but I hope to G** that Arians and his entire band of geriatrics are wheeled out the door, so we can start completely fresh.
