items deleted duplicate themselves

I am trying to clear a bunch of photo's in my documents and in my pictures. When I delete them they duplicate themselves. I now have 6,7 or 8 copies of the same pictures. Is there a setting that i may have clicked that does this? How can I stop the duplication. I.m running XP w/ service 2.

When you delete them, are you right clicking and selecting delete from the list?

I found the answer at microsoft. Have to delete one at a time as using the ctrl button duplicates the pics,
