Its boring right now and there are only so many mock drafts and scouting reports you can read, so to pass the time I have been looking at NFLE. Here is a few updates from our Players over there.

Games start April 2nd.

Teams have completed training camps and they have set their 46 man rosters, Practice squad rosters and injured reserves. Starting lineups havent been released yet though(I will post those when they are), but here is were each Cards player stands.

QB - Chris Lewis - Made the 46 man roster for the Centurions.

CB - Tyrone Sanders - Made the 46 man roster for the Centurions.

CB - Clarrence Curry - Is on the Injured reserve for some reason for the Fire.

TE - Bobby Blizzard - Made the 46 man roster for the Sea Devils.

DE - Antonio Smith - Made the 46 man roster for the Sea Devils.

RB - Larry Croom - Made the 46 man roster for the Sea Devils.

DB - Adrian Mayes - Made the 46 man roster for the Thunder.

WR - Luke Powell - He is over there but isnt shown on any rosters so I dont know what his status is.

Very cool. I had looked a few weeks ago and saw that games start on April 2. Guess that will help kill the few weeks before the draft.

Has any of our players from NFL Europe ever cracked the gameday roster? I still remember when Andrew McCullough was supposed to bolster our receiving corps and was cut in training camp.

Nope, he made the squad. I don't remember if he was cut during the season, or after it. But, I do remember a game in Dallas where the ball bounced off his hands and it was returned for a score. Plummer, who had a terrible game that day himself, ripped him in the paper.

NFLEurope.com lists the following players;

Obafemi Ayanbadejo
Isaac Keys
Reggie Newhouse
John Nix
Scott Player
Rolondo Cantu
and.....Kurt Warner. ;)

Doesnt really answer your question, but still...

Now I remember. He was trying to defend himself by saying that Plummer was throwing the ball too hard. That was the last of him (McCullough is currently an AFL star in Dallas, ironically)

Curry hurt?

I heard Curry could really fly and the situation at CB had me hoping he could grow a little in NFL Europe and become a productive part of the secondary...HE IS HURT...oh, great.

its gone from NFL Europe to pretty sooon NFL Germany.

The teams from England, Scotland and Spain have all folded - think outside Germany there's one from Holland and that's all.

Croom

I don't know how up-to-date the Hamburg NFLE homesite on NFL.com is, but Croom is listed on the roster for Hamburg Sea Devils. From the NFLE news excerpts below, I would say he's probably their featured back.

while running backs Zack Abron, Larry Croom and Chris Douglas not only made people miss on their rushes, but also caught passes out of the backfield.

2. The Sea Devils only have three tailbacks in training camp; Larry Croom (Arizona Cardinals), Zach Abron (Chicago Bears) and national Patrick Wischnewski. Croom looks to be a good all round back with acceleration and good hands. Abron is a

A quick, shifty back, Croom made several people miss, drawing oohs and aahs from the team. His counterpart, Zack Abron, chose

We have two good running backs right now that are showing signs. We may have one of the top running backs in the league, if not the top,

If Esume can get the best out of Croom, the Sea Devils have a chance to make a huge impact on the league this year. Playing behind NFL Europe biggest, and possibly best, offensive line, Croom should flourish

The top three for the team – Larry Croom, Zack Abron and Chris Douglas – all have their own talents. Croom hits the hole and gets upfield fast, while Abron is a hard-nosed runner and Douglas gets outside quickly on sweeps.

While Croom finished with only two carries in his only offensive series, he still managed to rack up 20 quick yards before the coaches decided it wasn’t worth the injury risk. His backups Zack Abron and Chris Douglas, however, also looked

March 21: Among those remaining with the team are quarterbacks Casey Bramlet and Ryan Dinwiddie, running backs Zack Abron, Larry Croom and Patrick Wischnewski

The Hamburg Sea Devils Have Bobby Blizzard (TE), Larry Croom (RB) and Antonio Smith (DE) on their roster. All might be starters, so it seems like I'll probably root for the Sea Devils if they went up against any other team with Cardinals players.

Deke Cooper was awesome in NFLE when we assigned him. We should have kept him. I thought he was a great depth guy and he made plays on the ball. Could have been valuable in a dime package. He's with J-ville right now and they're so high on him that they could care less if Darius leaves or not.

Adrian Mayes had an assist tackle as the starting SS for the Thunder as they won 30-7.

The Centurions beat the Sea Devils in a very close game that came down to the Sea Devils not being able to get their last second FG off as time expired. Centurions win 24-23. Stats havent been posted yet.

Man am I bored...

Being a second stringer in the NFLE must be the kiss of death. I know the competition out there is good, but if you think you can play at the NFL level, you should be able to make a difference in the NFLE and be a starter. I'm happy for Mayes, Sanders, Smith, Blizzard, and Croom- maybe they'll have a shot, a long shot, at a roster spot next year. Blizzard and Smith seem to have the best shot. If/when we draft a RB, Croom might be a goner.

Mayes could have a spot as a special teams player.

Jake Delhomme was Kurt Warner's back-up so it can happen but point taken.

Bobby Blizzard looked the real deal yesterday for what it's worth......

QB - Chris Lewis - Played Second String but actually played in the game and threw for 19 yards and rushed for 21 yards.

TE - Bobby Blizzard - Was the starter and did a great job blocking but he was also the main recieving weapon with 88 yard.

RB - Larry Croom - He barely played and was only used pretty much on passing downs. Did a pretty good job blocking and had 19 yards in recieving. But he never ran the ball.

DE - Antonio Smith - He did start but I forgot to actually take a look at him.

What about that RB named Robinson that rushes for a 100 yds or more nearly every game? Isn't he designated as a Cardinal? What team does he play for? I'm beyond bored. Hurry up NFL draft! I wonder why they didn't schedule it for next weekend like they usually do? Usually it is the weekend after Easter.
