Had mine for 2 and a half years, time to get a good one. AT&T just sent me a letter saying I was due for an upgrade. Any advise. No Blackberries.

No. It's time for a new phone. I have no camera, I can't receive good multi-media messages, and its plainly outdated. I have been pondering this before getting the ad. Plus, I wants the blueteeth.wait, you're getting a new phone because AT&T is telling you to buy one?
That's some pretty powerful advertising they have going on....
No razr for me, my wife has one. I've tried texting on hers and it gets screwed up. Do you know what I'm talking about?NOT a Razr. They really suck. Both my older daughters insisted on getting them, against the recommendation of the Sprint rep, and they both regret it. I've had to take both of them in for warranty crap twice each, and they're still not right. My kids have many assorted complaints about them & their functionality.

I'm sure my kids do. I didn't get one. I got the cheap one that was free. (I'm a tightwad that way)No razr for me, my wife has one. I've tried texting on hers and it gets screwed up. Do you know what I'm talking about?
I used to have a blackberry. Great phone. Never had any trouble with it at all.I just got a Blackberry Pearl the other day after using a Treo for 2 years.
I love it.
Getting e-mails in real time can be a blessing or a curse.
Blackberry would be cool, but that is for e-mail and internet stuff right? I'm not important enough for one of those, plus my plan doesn't have unlimited internet. I mainly want to capture photos and send them.(on occasion)I'm sure my kids do. I didn't get one. I got the cheap one that was free. (I'm a tightwad that way)

Check, thank you.I'd recommend the Samsung U520 if still available.

I'm sure therein lies the difference.I've had a razr for over a year with no complaints. but I'm not a phone junkie or text obsessed, so maybe your youngen's have a different expectation.
I'm sure therein lies the difference.
My car was recently stolen with my cell phone inside, so I'm actually looking for a new phone too. I have been very surprised by the extremely high "pain in the ass" factor when it comes to replacing a cell phone. Once your on a plan, the cell phone companies do not make it easy to replace a phone cheaply.
qft.Yes, insurance is a must with your cell, well worthy the five plus bucks a month.
I'm on Verizon too.
