so how are we going to f*** up our 1st round pick?

This year, we moved up in the second and drafted a great MLB who has been effective since the beginning of the preseason. But Whis and Davis benched him today for Gerald Hayes

Sorry, dude. This is the NFC West. The sweet release of oblivion will not come to you for at least another six weeks. Everybody else in the division sucks too badly. You'll be mad until at least Tuesday, more likely Wednesday or even Thursday, given how horrible this loss was. And then you'll look at the standings and see you're only a game out of first place. And you'll start thinking that maybe there's still some hope after all.

Rinse. Repeat.

I see this team winning may be 3 more games rest of the way... and to think we had the easiest of the schedule. I'm so frustrated right now.

Denial!!! We just aren't good enough to sniff the postseason & the sooner people (& coaches) realize that, the faster we turn the ship around.

Does anyone know who the top Community College player is in the country because I'm sure that's who they take with the 5th overall pick? As long as he is respected in the locker room and has tremendous intangibles.

A lot can change between now and draft day...for me right now it is the best QB, OL or LB on the board.

One thing to be guaranteed there will be 2000+ pre draft threads--when a player declares, when we know our position, for all the post season all star games, for the combine and for all the private workouts. It actually is pretty good and allows us to be pretty well educated on the players.

The last time the Cardinals had the 5th pick, Whisenhunt and Grimm hand-picked Levi Brown. We know how that turned out

Timm, as I recall they wanted Joe Thomas but Cleveland (I think) got him before us. Levi was rated the next best OT I believe.

Thats why you draft the best player on your board in the top 10. Levi :bang: and I knew it the day we drafted him.

You are a real optimist if you think this team can win three more games. I suggest we might win one more game. The Rams are up an coming with Bradford. Likely next seasons division champs. We cannot win at Kansas City. The Seahawks have been hammered lately but are still good enough to kick our butts.

He's been good, for a rookie. But great?

Also, Gerald Hayes is 10x more physical a player than Daryl Washington is right now. Daryl Washington would put as much of a defense up against Adrian Peterson as those banners that high school players run through after halftime.

Timm, as I recall they wanted Joe Thomas but Cleveland (I think) got him before us. Levi was rated the next best OT I believe.

The story coming into that draft was that Grimm and the Cards had Levi Brown rated ahead of Joe Thomas. Levi was the consensus next best OT, but that doesn't excuse passing on AD.

People point to the OL in Minny as why AD is good, but their OL stinks this year (as evidenced by Joey Porter finally going off), but AD just keeps plugging along gaining 4.8 YPC and averaging 22.5 carries per game. He's a machine.

That 2007 draft class was pretty deep. It's just a shame that we erred so dearly on the first pick. And the second.
