– A couple of high-profile guys out: LB John Abraham, who has sat out almost every OTA so as to not overextend his aging body, reported for minicamp, “threw up a few times,” Arians said, and was sent home. The Cards hope to have him back Wednesday. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald worked out on the side with strength and conditioning coach Buddy Morris to protect a hamstring that had been giving him some issues.

Larry sure has a lot of hamstring issues lately. That was his injury last year, right?

Read the info too, supposedly got his finger caught in a jersey and broke his hand... ok, but it states he should be ready by training camp unless he gets his toe stuck in something and breaks his leg lol

Not liking the early trends of Fred Wakefield, um Niklas. Busty bust potential. :(

I read that as they were working to get it in better shape so he does not have those same issues. BTW, I wonder what impact that had on Lott being asked to leave.

Sports Implications:

Athletes diagnosed with turf toe should avoid their sport at least three weeks to allow the joint capsule to heal. Without doing so, the injury can progress, and can lead to an even longer recuperation. It is not uncommon for athletes to try to come back too soon, or to try to play through the injury. Unfortunately, this usually leads to a more chronic injury, and ultimately a longer recovery.

Not saying that, but Lott was an old school weight room guy and from what I read, did not incorporate a lot stretching type of training. But I have no clue if there was a correlation between Lott leaving and Larry's hamstring, I was just thinking out loud.

--Coach Bruce Arians praised the play of safety Tony Jefferson, a second-year player. He's running with the first team, along with Rashad Johnson. Rookie Deone Bucannon, practicing after some time off due to turf toe, was running with the third team. Not much should be made of that, other than Bucannon needs to make up for lost time.
Jefferson has been impressive through the off-season. "Tony has really made great progress, very vocal. Last year he wouldn't say (expletive)," Arians said. "Now he's making all the calls, checks on motion and getting his hands on a lot of balls. He's making the progress I hoped he'd make."

lack of strecthing in lotts program is not true . The only non stretching information was that BA wants his players to stretch BEFORE practice, not to spend 10 minutes of practice stretching.

Larrys hammy is already sore this year and lott was released like 4 months ago.

players get hurt, they are human, the strength coach doesnt have a ton to do with it IMO

I wish coaches and players would call them footballs rather than balls. "tony is getting his hands on lots of balls this year"

I think we are reading this differenyly. I am reading it as being proactive and you are reading it as him being hurt. Again, I am just speculating about Lott, but either way, I will agree to disagree.

Yeah,

"giving him some issues" tells me it is irritated again and we are being cautious which is fine. At the same time if the guy cannot get through a training camp without pulling his hammy he is out of his mind for not accepting a paycut.

Lets see how it works out.
