I watched that video just the other day. He has some very serious potential. I know UDFAs coming in and blowing up the league is rare, but you only have to look as far as Miles Austin to see what can happen with small school receivers.

Um, wow! With hearing how well he's doing in camp, I hope he sticks on the roster.

Unless people have been extremely overrating his performances I don't see how he won't make the roster.

I'm definately excited about him. The guy has an absolutely amazing combo of length and athleticism.

Wow! The catches at about 0:51 and about 2:05 are reason alone to not let this guy go. That is NATURAL talent. Hang on to this one!!!

I heard that Williams wasn't allowed to run the 40 at the combine because they didn't think their electric timers could click on and off fast enough and were also worried about him getting hurt with the rafters at the new stadium when he did his vertical jump testing.

So he's the next Chuck Norris?? ;)

It will be a shame to see him released. Guys like Williams just don't have much of a chance in the NFL. Or in football overall. I've seen numerous players get cut or relegated to the bench who were better football players than many of the guys who were kept or played ahead of them.

This is rampant in high school. Fortunately not so much at the higher levels but it still is extremely difficult for guys to climb over other players who were drafted or recruited ahead of them. I don't know why... maybe Coaches just don't seem to have the time or the inclination to promote guys like Williams.

I heard that Chuck Norris was his father, but he traveled forward in time, beat Chuck Norris, then traveled further back in time and fathered himself. Chuck Norris wept in envy.

Amazing he went undrafted. Apparently, not only does he have a Fitz-type body, but he apparently has a Fitz-type character and work ethic. He'll be playing in the NFL some day... hope it's for the Cards!

Here is a link to his combine numbers. Haven't seen them posted before.

Linky

He was also on Gambo and Ash today. He said the reason he went to Toledo instead of a major school is that he only played WR his Sr season of high school - he was a DB for most of his HS career.

The knock on him is that while he has really good size and speed, he was unpolished in route running. But he said he went to Larry Fitz's camp in MN this summer and he recognizes that is a weakness but he is improving.

Just kidding... I see where you are coming from. I don't think it's that they don't have a chance, just that they are given such a short rope with almost zero room for error. Teams will be much more patient with those that they have drafted.

I watched those youtube vids but don't see the 4.4 speed he supposed has. I rarely saw him outrun someone. Guess we'll see starting this weekend!!!

Near the end he had blown past the CB but the QB underthrew the ball and he had to pull up.
