Unfortunately, it's only playing in one theater in LA tonight, the NuArt in Santa Monica, and I'm probably not going to make it. :(

man, if it's only playing in the NuArt that means there's no shot in hell it's ever gonna play anywhere in Phoenix. Guess I'll have to wait for video... which will probably only be a month or so.

I'm hoping at least the Laemmle's here pick it up--I'd happily drive to Hollywood, Pasadena or Encino to watch it.

Great movie, saw it in Hollywood at the Chinese last night. It's mostly in French, but there is some English in it as well. Quite amazing to see Van Damme act the way he does--believe me, you've NEVER seen him do something like this.

I really enjoyed it also. Van Damme is great. His monologue is pretty moving and he also manages to be very funny in other parts.

Agreed. I enjoyed the movie and the format it is told helps movie the story along.

That monologue was pretty good.

Is it his plea to come back? The beginning scenes with him asking to work scale to get to Hollywood, is that his plea?

I thought this was just okay. Maybe it's because I had higher expectations based on this thread.

Loved this film. JCVD showed chops I would hav never expected him to have, and the premise alone, well executed made this a big winner for me.

Recently watched it. Agree, it was weird to see Van Damme like this. Enjoyed it.
