Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is out against the Miami Heat on Saturday night (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network).

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins revealed before the game that Morant was "pretty banged up" after Friday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Morant is dealing with lingering right shoulder soreness.

Morant had 44 points on 17-for-22 shooting on Friday in arguably his best game of the season. Before playing the last six games, Morant missed two games due to soreness in his shoulder.

Morant is averaging 22.3 points and 7.4 assists in 43 games. He has missed 24 games this season due to injuries.

The Grizzlies will also be without Vince Williams Jr. due to right ankle soreness.

With Morant unavailable, the Grizzlies will rely on Desmond Bane, Luke Kennard and Scotty Pippen Jr. for more of the playmaking duties. Jaren Jackson Jr., who returned Friday after missing five games, also has offensive packages where he is the primary ball handler.
