The Jacksonville Jaguars made a trade back into the first round in a recent mock draft from CBS Sports, giving them a pair of Round 1 selections.

But before the Jaguars traded into the back end of the first round, they selected offensive tackle Will Campbell from LSU at fifth overall in Chris Trapasso's mock draft.

"Protecting Trevor Lawrence is priority No. 1 in Jacksonville, which is why this selection is made at the start of the Liam Coen era," wrote Trapasso.

The Jaguars have added heavily to the offensive line in free agency, however, I still believe that addressing the offensive line early in the NFL draft is very much in play. As Trapasso mentions, success for the Jaguars' offense starts with giving Trevor Lawrence time to throw and a run game to lean on, so adding as much competition as possible to produce the best offensive line appears to be the path that GM James Gladstone is going down.

Campbell spent his career at left tackle but could play at guard at the NFL level, given his length. In 558 pass-blocking snaps this past season, Campbell was credited with giving up only two sacks and 18 pressures, according to PFF. For what it's worth, in run-blocking grade, he ranked 87th among all tackles.

The Jaguars next pick was set to come at 36th overall in the second round, but with the defensive line being a major need and Trapasso adding to the offensive line instead at fifth overall, he had the Jaguars trade up to pick 20 with Denver to bolster the defensive front.

With the pick, the Jaguars selected Oregon defensive lineman Derrick Harmon. To get to pick 20, they traded away picks 36 and both third-round selections at 70th overall and 88th overall.

Having as many picks as the Jaguars do this year, with 10 in total, does give Gladstone the flexibility to navigate the draft board as he sees fit.

"The Jaguars desperately need more interior push from their defensive line," wrote Trapasso. "They get that with an aggressive move for Harmon."

Harmon did it all this past season, totaling 55 pressures and five sacks as a pass rusher, along with being one of PFF's highest-graded defensive tackles against the run as well.
