Eric Edholm of NFL.com put out version 2.0 of his 2025 NFL mock draft projection and had the Jacksonville Jaguars passing on defensive tackle Mason Graham to instead take Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

"With a first-year general manager/head coach combo -- and the talent not synching perfectly with need -- it's tricky to forecast the Jaguars' pick. They've made two big offseason additions in the secondary, but I think Liam Coen wants to add pieces to this offense. The versatile Warren can give him a more dangerous Tyler Higbee (whom Coen coached in L.A.)."

As we get deeper into this pre-draft process, we are starting to see more mock drafts that have the Jaguars taking Warren at pick No. 5.

Although the Jaguars signed Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long in free agency, those additions shouldn't stop them from further adding to the tight end position.

Warren's do-it-all skill set would be a great fit for Liam Coen's offense, where being multiple and throwing different looks at opposing defenses will be vital to making the whole thing go. Warren surpassed 1,200 receiving yards last season on over 100 receptions.

He's also quite versatile and able to line up across the formation, not to mention that he's a very capable run blocker as well. That well-rounded skill set at the tight end position can add a level of unpredictability to an offense, with that player able to fill a variety of roles.

There may be more pressing needs for the Jaguars than tight end, but one of the valuable aspects of having 10 draft picks is that it affords GM James Gladstone the flexibility to go in a number of different directions depending on how the board falls.
