Jake Paul will return to the ring this summer.

Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) boxes Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) in a cruiserweight bout this summer, Ring Magazine reported Thursday. A date and location for the matchup are yet to be revealed.

Paul's much-desired boxing match with Canelo Alvarez was being finalized for May 3 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, before Alvarez nixed the matchup by signing a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season. Paul lashed out at Alvarez, labeling him an "owned slave." In his most recent outing, Paul defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson by unanimous decision this past November at AT&T Stadium.

Former WBC middleweight champion Chavez Jr. returned from an almost three-year long layoff to face ex-UFC fighter Uriah Hall on Paul's undercard last July. The 39-year-old won the six-round bout by unanimous decision.
