Jalen Milroe raced his way to the top of the NFL Draft news cycle this week. The Alabama quarterback worked out at Alabama's pro day, and his workout has the draft world buzzing.

Milroe ran a 4.37 40-yard dash, which is one of the fastest times ever for a quarterback. The dazzling overall athletic display from Milroe, in front of personnel evaluators from all 32 NFL teams, spotlights the quarterback's upside. He's known for his running ability, rushing for over 700 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2024 as the Crimson Tide's signal caller.

He comfortably completed the carefully scripted passing drill, showing more consistent ball placement than during his NFL Scouting Combine on-field throwing, which was more hit-and-miss.

Milroe is generally projected as a middle-round pick and is frequently connected to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had dinner with Steelers GM Omar Khan, head coach Mike Tomlin and QB coach Tom Arth the night before Alabama's pro day, which will do little to dispel those connections.
