On the newest episode of my favorite podcast the "Pop the trunk podcast with Jalen and Jacoby" they were talking about the situation with Eric Bledsoe. Now if you've listened to this show for any amount of time you know it's actually really good information and these guys are dead on when it comes to things happening in the NBA especially Jalen Rose.

Jalen said if expectations are not met in Cleveland look for an Eric Bledsoe for Kyrie Irving trade to happen. This is what he's hearing.

You an debate Bledsoe being better than Irving all you want but I think its ridiculous to say just letting Bledsoe walk is better than getting Irving. Sure he has a bad contract but he's a big time player. JC doesn't keep you on team USA just because you have a max contract and a shoe deal.

Irving is a great player in much the same way that Harden is a great player. I'm not sure that you can win it all with either player being your foundation. I wouldn't want to trade for Irving or Harden but you're right, it makes far more sense than just letting Bledsoe walk. It's a horrible contract for two years at which time it probably becomes your basic bad contract. That's livable if not ideal.

How would that happen if Bledsoe is on the one-year at 3.7M? It sounds like Rose's source hasn't done his homework.

I just posted on another forum that no NBA team can survive financially with 4 max contracts. If Bled goes to Cleveland, Kyrie has to go away.

The problem for the Suns is that Kyrie doesn't balance the roster like Bledsoe does. His defense is lacking and he is just too much like IT. Maybe a three way trade to a team that really needs a top pg (like Houston).

I'm not too sure when Kyrie can be traded. If it can happen now, it might make sense. But if it can't happen until sometime in the season, which I think is the case, the logistics of a three team deal where we send out 3.7 million and the Cavaliers move a max contract seems a bit unwieldy.
