From Rivals.com
Taft four-star safety Jamere Holland is expected to announce around 9:30 p.m. during a signing day show on Fox Sports Net. The hour-long show will also feature the commitment of Encino (Calif.) Crespi three-star defensive back Sione Fua. Holland lists USC, Arizona and Oregon as his finalists

It's always nice to root for Stoops to pull in one more big name...I have a feeling he'll end up at USC, but i'll cross my fingers anyway

Actually it's tonight and I'm not too optimistic. Stealing four guys from USC just doesn't happen when you're Arizona or anybody for that matter.

I guess I just dont understand why some people could go to a school and be a star....or go to USC and fight to play at your position with all the talent.....I call it Joe Johnson theory.....he wanted to be the star....i think mr holland should be an Arizona star

I understand why. USC is still USC. They play in the biggest market on the West Coast in a town when USC football is the only thing going during the fall months and arguably are only second behind Notre Dame in marketability. When you go to USC you know you'll be on national TV every weekend and will get said exposure because of it. Not to mention the alumni connections you are getting at USC. Yeah, he could go to Arizona and probably start his freshman year but that comes with none of the guarantees that the Trojans offer.

Maybe he chose usc to further his career?

I'm not saying ua doesn't put some people in the NFL, but compared to usc...?

Seriously, this is the opposite of a "Joe Johnson theory"...JJ left the best for the worst, while holland picked the best over the average...I'm trying to be nice guys ;)

uummmm, did you just summarize what MaoTosiFanClub just said? Yeah, I think you did...

Oh and Holland is going to USC.

But UofA was ranked as the #22 overall recruiting class by ESPN with only USC (1) and California (21) having better classes. Hopefully these past few classes give us positive results!

I'm sorry, I didn't see where he addressed the "Joe Johnson theory" head on...I apologize for wasting your time...Maybe the next time someone says the Suns are good on the Suns board, I shouldn't agree with him, as I'd just be summarizing his point? Thank you Mr. thread policeman!

The whole Joe Johnson thing was being a star player on an up and coming team....or becoming just another body in a sea of high prospects. Obviously I know why he would go there, with USC's past few seasons...I guess I just thought he might want to come be a big fish rather then possibly get beat out by one of the many other high recruits they have.

Oh well...still better then ASU's recruiting

Now I understand mrh182, you actually think that Johnson was smart for wanting to go to the Hawks, instead of playing for the Suns...

Personnally, if I thought I was the best then I would go to USC, because I knew that I didn't really have competition...But if I did have doubts about myself, then I would follow your theory.
