Less than three years ago, James Conner was fighting cancer. It’s not that we’ve forgotten the Pittsburgh Steelers running back’s incredible journey, from a harrowing battle with Hodgkin lymphoma when he was at the University of Pitt to becoming one of the best players in the NFL this season. The NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award is a strange one because everyone has different criteria for it.
