Brings next level toughness to this team.
This can't be understated. Guys just feed off that energy. Someone said a blessing that Edmonds had an injury...and although I love Edmonds, I think the guys rallied around that energy James had today. Awesome to see...good old school football kinda.

Tough runner and exactly what we needed. Great game today and a huge running threat in the red zone all season.

He’s a baller... I don’t recall anyone here claiming he isn’t a good player. Iirc the biggest concern was that he rarely plays an entire season because he gets hurt.

I’m just hoping the football gods see fit to bless him with an injury free Cardinals career

@Stout straight up said it was a horrible signing and he just wasn’t very good. @Solar7 as well... Others said they weren’t excited about it.

Yep, I THOUGHT it was a horrible signing. Always got injured in Pittsburgh. He WOULD play well in stretches, but even then, he'd have huge, costly mistakes that would crush the team (which everyone was overlooking through their rose-colored glasses). Lots of reasons to doubt even though he played well in long stretches.

Welp, I couldn't be more glad to be so wrong. That's what folks don't understand about darksiders a lot of the time. We HATE it when we're right. I had every reason to doubt, and I am GOBBLING up the crow today because it means we're playing well, are 8-1, and have a RB dominating the NFL for us. I am absolutely thrilled with JC.

I thought Conner was the 2nd coming and said so. Got beat about my head and shoulders by this board and others. I mean for some reason this fan base and team never embrace running backs? I mean Edge was poo poo the whole time, even though without him we were the worse team ever going in the super bowl? Beanie lead us in 09 on one leg! Whiz treated that guy like crap, having lie about the injury status for months. CJ lead the NFL in rushing on the BA success, look at the AZ press - you would have never known, if I didn’t say it. DJ got hurt and wasn’t the same mentally. Drake did pretty well, Chase is a good back but not bell cow beast, Conner is!

Conner changes defenses in our offenses favor, oline and QB - the top helps our defense stay explosive. After injury Conner was on a big back schedule to return to this form at 26 years old. Eno is hungry. We basic use Conner in goal line and to close games, that looks silly at this point, he is the engine of a spectacular offense. but then again we need him late in a 17 game season and playoffs. His attempts are accumulating, but not always the wisest of utilization in my run loving eyes. I think having a run game coordinator helped. A voice in the game plan.

right now his NFL value is up there, meaning many teams would start him over players they have starting. Take care of him on a 4 year contract. He makes the whole team better, kind of hard to find.
